Country Living Magazine!?

I'm about to have a pee-in-my-pants dance party over the fact that: A. It is already October 19th! and 2: It finally got "cold" outside!! Yay!! A few things bum me out; like the fact that I'll miss Pumpkin Shine on Line AGAIN this year because of work, but honestly, I'm pretty happy otherwise. I have a great Halloween party planned [our 6th annual!] and I am not stressed at ALL about it! And as of Thursday, I'll be on my way to probably the biggest event that I've been able to be a part of since I started my little business.

I know!! It's bananas!! Haha. I've been keeping this a little "under wraps" since I found out I'd been selected to meet with the editors of Country Living Magazine back in August, mostly because I figured they had gotten something mixed up or someone had sent this to me as a joke [my siblings and I were pretty mean to each other growing up], but since I'll be leaving for Atlanta tomorrow, I think I can finally tell everyone! So, please wish me luck as I "pitch" my little Zombees to Country Living and hopefully I'll be selected to be featured in the magazine. This meeting is going to be a great learning experience and hopefully a launching pad! It would mean a lot for my budding business and maybe get me one step closer to having a storefront here in Shreveport! So here's hoping there is a weirdo who love zombies and hot wax on the judging panel!

To be continued ...

Zombie Gaga

I'm officially, publicly calling "dibs" on Lady Gaga's Zombie Boy costume for Halloween this year. Pink hair, tux, face paint ... done. You'll just have to think of something else ...

Whoop! Gotta start collecting cotton candy colored wigs so I can make that sweet ass ponytail. So exciting!

Update: Here is the video, duh. Even though this sounds just like Express Yourself by Madonna, I still like it. And the video made it 10x better. Her body is capital WTF awesome. I showed it to Brandon and he said "I like that she jiggles when she kicks and moves. She looks real." ... gotta love that! Haha. I don't mind that she used the Vertigo score for the opening or that she gave birth to a machine gun. I like all of it. SciFi shit is always good with me. Enjoy! [warning ... if you're not used to Gaga, just know that this is totally weird.]

Removes Dead Skin

I don't have to tell any of you about my obsession with Zombie stuff ... I mean, Zombee Candle? But seriously ... look at this amazing stuff I got from The Bubbling Cauldron on Etsy ...

Amazing!  It smells like heaven dipped in rainbows and it really does work as a good scrub for unwanted zombie skin. Nothing really ever helps my blackfoot condition [I've decided my Native American name is either "Walks With No Shoes" or "Eats Till Shamed"] but it does a pretty damn good job, seeing as how it isn't really meant for feet.

I also got some "Witch Cream" which is code for magical lotion. So luxurious! So Autumnal. I cannot wait for the big, orange Harvest Moon!!♥

If you haven't already made plans to be here for Halloween ... you might want to go ahead and take care of that. I am officially booked in a fantastic and possibly haunted [definitely historic] venue and arranging my menu for the night! There will also be a live band and a book signing by local authors of Historic Haunts of Shreveport. It will be a night to remember! Email me if you'd like to get an invitation in the mail! zombeecandle@gmail.com

Off to make some Spiced Tea and read more of Fat Vampire. If you are a reader, you should look into some of the Young Adult fiction they have out today. So hilarious! And I'm not just saying that because I am employed by our local library. Well, maybe I am ...

UPDATE: I've changed my mind ... I'm going to watch Mermaids instead. Cher, Christina Ricci and Winona Ryder ... plus a Motown soundtrack? Yes, please. Great fall movie. ♥ G'night!
