First Fire

Tonight, Brandon decided to kick off the oh-my-god-the-weather-has-finally-changed backyard fire tradition for the season with a few friends. So exciting! Especially since I found out how to do this with my camera ...

WHAT!?!

 Sorry ... I just absolutely freaked out when I saw this. Basically, I took the auto-focus off and aimed the lens just above the fire. The plan was to catch the embers as they flew up, but I definitely wasn't expecting this amazing shit. Love it. If you click on it, you can see the larger versions of each. Just awesome.  Haha. I'm getting all excited when this is probably something you do in Photographer 101 class. I'm lame, I know!

 Delicious wieners! [Lit'l Smokies wrapped in strips of Pillsbury croissants ... bake at 350 for about 10 min!]

And of course, I have to present them! Once again ... lame, I know.

Anyway, I got too cold [and wanted to blog!] so I came in and left the boys outside to keep the fire going. I'm sure there will be several more fire pictures this season!
